Labourer: June 2017 – August 2020.

Interact daily with various project managers, subcontractors, supervisors and municipal inspectors to complete construction projects.

Operate heavy equipment and machinery, such as steam rollers and track machines.

Recognise and report potential project challenges and assist in appropriate solutions.

Practice the maintenance of machinery for optimal productivity. Experience working in a team environment, with various tradespeople, in pursuit of completion of the same construction projects.

Bachelor of Arts in Geography and English. September 2017 – July 2020.

English:

Studied modules on a variety of topics, including Jacobean theatre, modernist poetry and mass and social media.

Studied several modules with a focus on the Old English language, its etymology, phonetics and translation to modern script and dialects.

Geography:

Studied modules primarily based in human geography, such as: Economic Geography, Migration, Mobility and Belonging and Political and Cultural Geography.Completed several essays addressing the People’s Republic of China’s rise on the international stage, including essays on economic strategy and the Belt and Road initiative.

One semester’s worth of experience teaching introductory geopolitics to first year undergraduates through the Céim programme.
